Turmeric Corn Bread

So we have a lot more time at home lately, positive and challenging... but we have been experimenting with Truly Turmeric more these days and we are happy to find more unique ways to use our paste and share them with you!

This is by no means a traditional corn bread, but it is delicious!


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal

  • 2/3 granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 3.5 tsp baking powder

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp Truly Turmeric (with or without black pepper)

  • 8-10 shelled pistachos

How to:

Grease 9-inch round cake pan or cast iron skillet. Preheat oven to 400F

In a medium mixing bowl, add the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Whisk to combine.

Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients and add wet ingredients. Stir to combine but don't over mix.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 mins until the top is a deep golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Garnish with pistachio. Serve nice and warm!
